Easing into my running schedule well

I am really liking my new running schedule. I have been keeping myself to only one run a week of over 10 miles and then adding 3-4 runs of around 6-7 miles. So far if I add a fourth it has been around 4-5. This gives me a weekly total of around 32-36 miles which I think will work well. Unfortunately dawn is coming later and later, soon I will be running in the dark if I keep this up. I don’t have too much of an issue with this, being that my routes have become so familiar to me I don’t seem to trip too often. One definite disadvantage of the dark runs is I don’t like to do them in the canyon, but it is usually too wet to run down there much anyway.

My bee sting has been really itchy especially considering it is right on my sock line. I haven’t really noticed and benefit from the apitheraphy, then again it is only one sting! I had hoped to be miraculously relieved of all numbness, but I wasn’t counting on it. It sure would have been nice and would make the itching all worthwhile.

The rains are coming back to the NW. I like running in the rain as long as it isn’t too hard. I am not a fan of wet feet for sure. It really increases the likelihood of blisters as well as being cold and generally uncomfortable. Last year as I was beginning to feel the foot numbness (actually it has been going on for two years I think) I think the cold sort of heightened it. I am curious to see how things go this year.
