Via Training

Via Training is a leading provider of custom training programs that increase sales channel effectiveness. Via develops blended eLearning and blended training programs that teach product knowledge, applied sales skills and sales operations.

Hired Hand Media was brought in to do Flash development. We have worked on a variety of clientele and projects for them including Microsoft, Best Buy, Comcast, Avon and Rogers Wireless. Most of the work we completed involved using their templated approach to course building but also included significant custom development. Many of the projects were localized in such languages as French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese to name a few. Localization/globalization became an area of specialty for HHM with Via.

Microsoft Retail

We worked on many types of projects for Microsoft including course development, localization and kiosk development. Courses were heavily interactive with a variety of quizzes and activities. While template based the modules often require significant manipulation in order to meet the demands of the content creators.

Vista Emulators

Hired Hand Media's part in this project primarily revolved around localization for both single and double-byte languages. Many issues were solved having to do with how double-byte text (for languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Russian) was displayed.

BestBuy Courses

We worked on a wide variety of templated courses, some of which required extensive modification. We also worked on original template development.

Avon Courses

We worked on a wide variety of templated courses, many of which required extensive modification. Localizing these courses proved to extremely difficult as the source files required heavy modifications. We spent a lot of our time untangling huge balls of code in order to successfully complete the task.

Rogers Wireless

This Canada-based wireless provider featured many styles of templated eLearning course modules from product features to services how-to activities. All courses were created in English and then localized to Canadian-French. This client featured much original development and template modification.

Alticor Courses

The work we completed on this course included the re-skinning of an existing course shell and supporting modules. The course was eventually localized into simplified Chinese so all modules were adapted for double-byte text.
